For the opportunity to do business with Waste Management we invite all suppliers to register online.
FAQs
What is supplier diversity?
Supplier diversity provides all qualified suppliers equal access to purchasing opportunities. It promotes suppliers who reflect the company’s diverse customer base and business community. The program also allows us to cultivate new markets, new customers and new talent in diverse communities while promoting economic development.
How can I do business/register my company with Waste Management?
- You must complete an online registration form to become certified and active in Waste Management’s recognized supplier development councils/agencies.
- Be able to show high quality, competitive pricing, exceptional delivery and creative business solutions.
How do I become certified as a diverse supplier?
Waste Management does not certify diverse suppliers. To be considered as a potential diverse supplier, proof of certification is required from one of these organizations:
- National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC)
- Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
- Association for Service Disabled Veterans (ASDV)
- Small Business Administration
Note: other city, state and federal certifications may be accepted only where appropriate
What is certification? How long is the certification process?
Certification verifies whether a business meets the criteria of ownership to qualify as a minority, women-owned, small disadvantaged or HubZone certified business. From start to finish the certification process typically takes between 30 to 90 days.
Does certification from these agencies ensure that I will be able to do business with Waste Management?
No. Submitting a supplier profile as a certified diverse company automatically places your company in our supplier repository (TSMS), but does not constitute approval of your company as a Waste Management supplier.
